It got really hot melted my three prong plug,I think I connected it wrong now my high beam light stays on,Andy I only have the passing lights working, help!!
Your high beam indicator light comes on if there is no power to the low beam. Since you melted the connector and there is no low beam, the system will turn on that indicator.
Kind of a Bass-Akwards setup since it's not really a high beam indicator, more like a No-Low beam indicator.
Figured this out after installing my passing lamps and set it up where I can turn off the headlight too.
i.e. -
1) No headlight, no passing lamps (high beam ind on all the time)
2) Headlight and no passing lamps (high beam ind normal operation)
3) Headlight and passing lamps (high beam ind normal operation)
Here is where you can get some good led bulbs and great service too. Not cheap but after looking at Harley you will buy them and love them. SoCalMotoGear.com You cant call them but they answer there emails pretty quick, even on weekends.
Also known as Spots or Auxiliary Lamps, they are the smaller lamps on each side of the Headlamp on some models.
