Good evening all.As some of you might know I am sorta 'laid up' from shoulder surgery so I'm bored and planning some of the work I want to do when I can. [Today my buddy came down and 'helped' me install the new under triple tree air dam.] Anyhow when able I will be wanting to remove my exhaust and install the set of de-catted head pipes I have sitting. I realize I will need to unscrew the O2 sensors from the current pipes and screw em into the new set but since I can't actually crawl around looking at it closely yet.......Not sure about unscrewing them? Are the wires 'free floating' in the sensors or are they going to have to be disconnected from somewhere to prevent them being twisted off when I unscrew the sensors? If they need to be disconnected from somewhere...........where is it? I have looked and looked in service manual and can't seem to find anything on just removing them.
Thanks..........Colt.45
The wires are not free floating. They will nwed to je disconnected at the harness (just floolow the wires back, cant miss them, and then removed. Lightly coat threads with anti seize before reinstalling.
