Vacuum fuel shut off valve leaks

I have 2004 sporty 1200 with the vacuum fuel shut-off valve. just after riding a little, when I kill the engine, my fuel valve begins to leak. I think it only drips for a short time and stops. a tech at the local Harley shop told me that it is typical of the vacuum type valves to drip, and I just need to turn it off after riding. If i do this, it doesn't leak, but it's somewhat of a drag.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Being an 04 the "O" rings may have dried up some. I do not think you can rebuild. They should not leak anyway shape or form.

My Heritage 05 had some corrision in it so I've been there, trying to rebuild. Working on carb could not shut fuel off in any position.

Get a new valve.
