SO.
without! sharing the contents of your manual, I'd like to see what they look like after living in your garage/office/workshop.
Do you make notes in the margin? dog ear pages? stuff receipts for parts into the binding? Does it sit upon an altar with a beam of light shining softly down on it?
I've put tabs on the sections so i can find them without touching the pages with my grubby fingers.
I try to keep mine out of the dirt and grease, but all of them over the years have managed to accumulate their share of that. Got all sorts of notes and scribblings at various places. Most current issue occupies it's own special drawer in tool chest.
Try very hard to keep pristine, I'll open to page and scan, print. Try to keep that clean future use. Three, '49 FL- '80 FXE- 2014 DYNA.
Of course didn't have scan option for '49 & '80. Do the same with boat, truck, and car.
I try to keep em in as good shape as I can. The book stays in my home office and I just make copies of the pages I need before I do the job. I'd rather trash up the cheap copies than the 'spensive manual.
There's lots of good information here , almost don't need a book .......I haven't done much to my 09, I didn't get it until 2013, I have a Indy do most of the work on it, he has the special tools for TC's and a bigger lift.
In certain sections that I use a lot, like for things like torque specs, there are instruction sheets from cams, pushrods, etc, used to keep those spots.
