i adjusted the apes:nod a few inches forward to get the wanted riding position. I think I missed the mark as i still have a little more fine tuning needed to get my arms just right.
then rode 16 miles to work, a bit cool but the air was very clean and fresh.
Wasn't releasing....don't know if it caused or was caused by, the clutch cable break or if it is just coincidental to the fact.
When I got it apart, the friction and steel discs were stuck together bad enough that when I pulled them out they came out as one unit and I had to break them apart to clean them.
After they were cleaned, inspected, put back in and adjusted it seems to work properly. Still need to get the gasket to be able to take it out for a test run though.

Threw my new mustang solo seat on my SG and took a ride to North Texas HD. It was 35 out when I left this am and it's 45 out now. I wanted to keep riding but the Thanksgiving rush is in full mode now. All the highways are jammed.
I did pick up a 4 point docking station for my bike while at the dealer. I'll put it on tomorrow.
I retook the MSF class at Ft. Bragg. It was a lovely rainy, windy, 50 degrees. Rain suite and layers kept me dry and warm but the hands were wet all day. They didn't get cold until I got back on the road headed home. Brrrr. But it was good to do the class on wet pavement and in the rain. I don't ride a whole lot in the rain, so the class and weather was a reassurance that riding in the rain isn't that big of a deal if you are prepared for it.
I'm hoping the crappy weather doesn't last long though…and i'm sure it will:blahblah:
rode for about an hour today. 47'. but it was sunny, so not too bad. tomorrow, saturday, and sunday, it's supposed to be in the 50's, so, i'm riding again.
regards,
dave
Just put another coat of nu-finish in the Orange Blur. Stuff is cheap but it works well! I shy away from buying any cleaning supplies from a dealership.
I went on my annual "day after Thanksgiving" ride with some guys I know. Only 3 of us were tough enough to brave the cold this year. 27 degrees when we started and maybe 34 when we ended. We only went about 100 miles or so and stopped for lunch. Got me away from the in-laws who are staying at my house for Thanksgiving. That was the best part
I didn't do much but I ran some errands .... I got a present for the inlaws... My wifes medicine and a big bag of dog food...if it weren't for the dogs being hungry...I would never of gone to tractor supply on black Friday!

......still saving my $$$ waiting on a bodywork and paint job price.
Got a few $`s here and a few $$`s there in hardware to get. But none of it means a thing without pretty tins to bolt on when it`s done.
