Hey all,
I was at the dealership yesterday looking for some parts for my switchback. First parts guy really had no clue, but I digress. I was told that the switchback will no longer be made because of the off design of it. I just purchased a 16 a couple months ago, so that not make me feel good, when looking for parts in the future. They also said that they are disco thing the "72" I guess no interest.
Now I have to think how long I am going to keep it before the trade in value drops and think about purchasing a newer model.
The aftermarket will offer parts for it for a while yet.
Engine parts will be a none issue.
Many parts are not always model specific.
If the model is being discontinued, the price may not drop.
But you will need to find the right market.
Will probably develop sort of a cult following.
Yea, I purchased a new 2015 earlier this year that was still on the floor. I know this bike has been met with mixed reviews, but I love mine and will probably keep it even if I am able to move up to my beloved Road Glide. The FLD is just a great all-purpose bike, and I love the looks!
Don't sweat the discontinuation. As the others pointed out, the value may go up. Keep all of the original parts once you start blinging it out!
Yes, I love mine also. Just an all around bike, cruiser or touring with bags and windshield on. It's pretty much blinged out and always keep the original parts.
Not a Harley , but I want one , a friend just got back from a Blue Ridge trip and said Dale at WTT had picked up a pair of Crockers for 300K..............Each. The fewer they make , the more they will be worth in the future.
