Anthem AZ just on the north edge of Phoenix. Old guy back to riding again after 20 years. Funny how it gets under your skin and never goes away.

My buddy said something about wanting a new hobby two weeks ago and was thinking about Harleys... I'm picking mine up tomorrow. Thank goodness for friends and their crazy ideas!

:cheers

Wife and I have a house on the river in Bullhead City, Az. 22 miles across the California / Arizona border.

About riding year round..... Ever ridden on the desert when it is 127* in the shade, and there ain't any shade??? Last year on vacation there in August the LOW was 102 at 3am. Not very comfortable riding.

Artsy Fartsy in Arizona has to be Sedona! Never saw so many art galleries, day spas, and bed and breakfasts

From Flagstaff

Just joined the forum this morning, although I won't have my bike (FLHX) for another 2 weeks or so.

I so jealous of you guys down in the vally!! It's still cold up here except for the day time... Mornings and nights are still brutal (at least to me...)

If/ when any of you guys come up this way, let me know!!

Well I'm a couple weeks on the other side of owning my second Harley, bought it on the 10th of this month. It's been 20 years since I did the ride from Phx, 89A outside Wickenburg, Congress, Prescott, on to Jerome, up through Sedona, Oak Creek, and on to Flag. Oh man, can't wait for the temps to rise a little and be on that ride again. If there's a better ride in AZ than that..... I certainly don't know what it is.

:cool

Looking for a nice weekend motorcycle route

Hey all, I'm in Scottsdale on business and I rented a 2011 Road Glide for this weekend. I'm a New England guy so this territory is all new to me. What are the nice riding routes out of Scottsdale, heading in any direction. I'm trying out the Road Glide in hopes of upgrading from my 07 Softail Deluxe.
Any good route would be appreciated! Or any motorcycle rally's this weekend?

thanks!

Apache Trail (88) out to Tortilla Flats is a nice short ride. There's even a restaruant there to grab a burger and a drink or something before returning. It's a popular motorcycle ride. Hopefully, someone on the forum and local will show you around.

Have fun, and enjoy the warmth... it's COLD here! :)

Originally from L.A., but been in AZ for 30 years. I'm in the White Mtns., which is foreign from what most envision to be AZ. Largest stand of Ponderosa pine in the world. Amazing rides up here, but we have to ride south in the winter. The nice thing about eastern AZ is that we can pop over to New Mexico and Colorado for some great riding too.

Family has come land up in Alpine. That's a beautiful part of our state. I'll be heading up that way on my new HD one of these days.

New to the forum, new to HD. Just bought 2012 Iron 883.

Live in Tempe, AZ but I have weekends off so I'll be taking plenty of day rides on Sat and Sun.
