Hello Breeze3at,
Sorry to disturb you, but I saw your answer on a post dealing with IRON clutch issue
I have a 2012 IRON, and I also have a clutch problem.
At 1250 miles, my clutch died. It has been replaced by my HD dealership thinking of a bad balancing.
But at (2550 miles, my clutch died again.
Also my IRON is unusable (or I have to change the clutch every 1250miles) and can not be sold.
As you were asking some questions on the post I read, in case you could help me finding the problem...
- Was neutral easy to find when stopped with engine running?
Neutral is very hard to get. Sometime I even need to release the clutch a bit and pull if full again to get it.
- When cruising in 4th and 5th gear, did engine speed up faster than the bike?
Yes it happens, when the clutch starts to be worn.
Another thing when I reach 68miles/h, i loose accéleration. At 80miles/h, it gets a lot better, and the it starts accélerating again...
If you have an idea to help me...
Thank you,
Alex
