Hi all, just picked up a 2005 Hertiage. Needs new windshield. Been looking and other than OEM anybody have any recommendations. See a lot about Memphis Shades. Anybody have any other recommendations. Thanks
I have a Long Ride Shield Recurved on my bike and it works great. Best part of the deal on top of the fact that I works as advertised is that their prices are excellent.
I bought my 2005 Deuce used and it came with a factory quick release windshield. It is the larger one and i cant stand it. All it does is increase the wind blast in my face at 60 MPH and above.I am 6 feet tall and even if i try to hunch down it sucks. It will never go back on.
Love my Deuce.
I decided to change my original Harley windshield after countless years of bikini bike washes etc. It was getting scratched and discolored.
I wanted to go higher (a custom height) than most of the above mentioned companies were willing to go so I went with Clearview.
Mine has a recurve and is quite a bit thicker than the stock windshield. My original Harley windshield would suffer buffeting when oncoming semis would pass...no such thing with the Clearview even at speeds 100+ (personally tested by me).
Second that, but we all know a full face is not proper HD attire.Sun glasses, goggles, scarves or nothing.I may look un cool on my soft-tail with a full face but it solves many problems at 60 mph.
I went with a Memphis shades. The black lower tint was the main reason I went with that on my '06 Heritage. I like how it accents my black bike, and also helps with the glare from all the chrome up front.
It is considerably thicker than the Harley shield I took off. It bolted right up perfect with the old hardware. I have not had it wobble or shake since I got it over a year ago. Even at 100+ like travelinman301 mentioned. I went with a taller shield for the comfort of my cruise control sitting behind me. She likes it because the taller height made the wind less turbulent for her as well.
We bough it off Amazon for about $110. I had no trouble whatsoever with the purchase or product!
I LOVE it and will buy the same product for every subsequent bike I buy. It really looks sharp and works even better!
Lol I may ride a Harley but I sure don't fit the mold . You'll not see me with glasses cut off sleeves nor bandannas, but with full face, gloves, jacket and pants no matter what the temps are ...... Prepare for the slide not the ride
I took the stock one off my 2015 road king if you want it I will sell it to you for 75. must pick it up in central pa. Windshield only not the hardware.
I just bought a new shield for my 05, got a Memphis Shades off Amazon. Fits perfect just be sure to measure your old one for proper hole pattern
Thanks for all the suggestion
