When she was little, I could barely get out of the house without my daughter wanting to go along. Once she got older and boys entered the picture, she was done with riding. My niece went for a ride each and every chance I gave her and she loved it. She was a hard worker and mowed lawns in the summer for extra cash. One summer she saved all her mowing money and in the fall came home on a moped. She was about 12 or so and her mom died over that. Later in high school, she got herself a 750 Suzuki and rode it till she went to MMI to become a Harley Tech. Graduated, got a job at a Harley dealer and hasn't looked back. She loves it, is doing great, and the dealership bends over backwards to keep her there. They loan her new bikes to ride, get her specialty tools when she needs them, help pay for continuing Harley educational courses, and stuff like that. All the relatives give me all the blame for it and give her all the credit. I have to tell you, it's great having a certified mechanic that loves you in the family! She and I are the only bike nuts in the family and we get along great.
