Seriously NICE FIND!!!!! $4000 plus in my area would be a sweet deal. If 3 to 4 is fair in your area then you're not hosing the old gal. Jump on that bike now. If you find another in that trim at that price lemme know. G'luck.

Times are tough up here in New England and I think $3k to $4K would be fair. The little old lady is close to my in-laws and I may arrange to take it and try to get her (the bike) to turn over to see what is what. I am sure every gasket and seal has gone to crap, so I know what is in store. I'll have my father in law, a former Marine aircraft mechanic, squirt some Marvel oil in the cylinders a few days before working on it to start breaking it up. He would help in the restore. I got plenty of time on my hands to get this bike back to her former self. Not afraid to spend a little cash, too.
I have done a little research and I can't find anywhere that the color black was available for the EG in 1972, just blue and white. When did the mag wheels become available too?

80 inch shovel
My memory says 1979 was the first 80 inch shovel. It was an option on the '79 Low rider I had.
