Of the flatheads, the 45's were made right up into the 60's as a 2 wheeler and into, I think '72 as a servi-car, so that would be my choice if I was looking to do one as a bar hopper.
I see Pauchgo (sp?) has a frame for them now. Ton and tons of parts for them out there as well. There are some guys doing belt drives so you can use a BT trans with them. That makes a difference, so you can do a foot shift much easier.
The ULs and VL 74's and 80's are a lot harder to come by and because they were discontinued in the 40's parts are scarce as well.
