Harley LightWeight,Hummer.

Well here`s a couple of pics to get it started.
AS long ways to go yet but I did get the parts ordered oops er I mean all the ones I know for sure i`ll be needing.
A pic that I previousely posted.

And another with the wifey. For once She actually looks pleased that I hauled in another "piece of JUNK"{her remark not mine.

holes and rustthroughs that need attention.

Have most of the parts cleaned and ready for paint, just a matter of doing it.
Here`s pics of the engine from Mutt in Texas. He sent Me a lot of pics during the rebuild but it would take a lot of room to get them in here.
The crank after a rebuild.

Pistons fitted and the jug and crank installed

getting closer.

The carb I had with the bike was too small so Mutt made an exchange with Me and rebuilt and refinished an original carb with original plating.

There was fins broke off from the cases and He rebuilt the fins and put it back to original. Also there was several cracked and bent fins in the head that He had to repair.

Here`s the site where I get any info I need from.
http://www.harleyhummerclub.org/
The parts pages lists all the vendors that are registered.
I did`nt know there were so many people still making parts for these machines.
Looks like i`m going to have to get a couple more of these Hummers as I got 3 Grandchildren.Getem started right ya know.

Nice looking project Marty. Got your work cut out for you. What's the secret to getting the wife to go along with it. I could use that information can't change grips without getting a lecture. Keep the pics coming I'm interested in seeing the out come.
