61 miles in 36 years is a little hard to comprehend.

Agreed.
That bike's been redone. That's not OEM paint, it has an early 60's front fender tip, an aftermarket tank bib and the seat's not original. It also has aftermarket grips, headlight/passing lamp brows and an aftermarket derby cover.
Wide whitewalls weren't OEM as well in 1973, rather single 3/4" slim whitewalls by GoodYears were, or the same tires with 2 - 1/4" whitewalls strips.
Those tires are Cokers.
Seller's smoking rock....

what I love about dave.....
does look like a nice bike I think he did all that to get above market on those bikes since its way less than 11k on a 73 shovel

The owner sent me pics. The bike's been rebuilt or at a minimum, driver-restored.
Yes the speedo says 61 miles, because it was replaced. It lacks any fade or dust at all and especially, doesn't say Harley-Davidson on it, or more importantly, "Made in USA". It looks like an aftermarket replacement. The surrounding chrome is faded and worn on the dash, but the speedo looks like it just came out of a box.
I stand corrected: The tires are modern Dunlop whitewalls. Replaced, not OEM as stated. He probably believes the tires are OEM, because the newer ones say "Harley Davidson" on them.
The fender tips and front fender speers are 1961-62ish and not correct year.
The handlebars are updated, and not the correct, wide FLH bars that came on it. 1973 FLH also had an internal throttle cable, and not external, if I'm correct.
Tank emblems are 72-78, but paint sceme doesn't look correct, nor the colors.
It's a nice bike, but worth $7000-8500 tops without proper mileage ducumentation.
