Finding Parts!
I haven't seen any threads for finding parts for old bikes. I figured I would start one. So where does everybody shop parts for these old engines and bikes. I just spent 2 hours trying to find a primary cover for my 55 Pan. This thread is dedicated to the sharing of parts digging. So post it!
Brutus where are you when we need you! LOL

www.JockeyJournal.com has some stuff in their classifieds. JPCycle still sells some decent stuff, although a lot of it is Custom Chrome or Drag Specialties parts. (Tiawann made) Antique Motorcycle Club of America has events all over. I was just at a show in Oley, PA that had some killer parts and bikes. Ebay is getting lame for this stuff. Everyone wants 15K for junk and think it's Barrett Jackson Action just because it's a panhead.

When I lived in KC there was an indy store called Wayne's bike shop. Had been there from the sixties, was a great resource for parts. If they didn't have it they could get it in a week. Bill's in Pocono PA was a good source for parts place was like a museum, but since has gone out of business, heard it was an ugly divorce.

I'd agree with Dave. Most of the stuff on fleabay you'd have to tie a dollar to so you could say that you threw something away when you trashed it.
For me it's Kickstart in Wyoming, MI and JPcycles. Try and hit some swap meets with pile of cash.

Well, if your in the South Eastern part of PA, De, Md. or Nj and want original, I would suggest NICK'S MOTORCYCLE AND SALVAGE CENTER - 159 Lebanon Avenue - Williamstown, NJ 08094. Phone: 609 728-9607 Fax: 609 875-7148. I have had a lot of dealings w/ nick and he always has treated me right.
For aftermerket parts, reasonably priced and tremendous service see Bill Hoover at Dynamic Performance Cycle 410-479-5544 in Denton Md. Bill builds most the old Pans ,Knucks, and Shovels in this area and rides a "47" Knuck hiself. He rebuilt my Pan. Backs his work up too!
