Couple of new pics of the Pan

As promised w/ the Crossbones seat. This has helped to make the Panhead one comfortable ride. BTW....i got the dash spaced out properly but we took theses pics before that. Time to ride....

The P pad was a little sun bleached and the stitching was with white thread where as the Crossbones was stitched w/ black thread. A little black leather dye cured that problem...

I sit a little higher but still have a good riding position.

Thanks for looking......

Rob

Yes, running STD heads w/ dualplugs and dual coils. Nemco auto advance distributor set up for single fire. 84 cubes w/ Andrews gears in the tranny.

I appreciate all the comments big time. I bought this Scoot in "95" but know the last two owners. The motor went south on me in "01" with the left side case starting to spider web crack. Ended up working a 2nd job in "03" just to pay to get the motor rebuilt as i got the cases manafluxed and welded so I could keep her tagged as a "51". Motor sat on my bedroom dresser for a couple of years because after I got it back all new and pretty looking there was no way it was going in that old chasis that had been sitting in my pole barn so at that point the whole thing came apart.

I'm pretty tight w/ the Cat that rebuilt the motor and he knew I had tore the whole thing down so he tells me that when I get to the point of when i'm ready to fire her up if I let him start it for the first time and time it and go over the whole thing AND I break it in exactly how he wants then he would gaurantee the build even though its been built since "04". Rightous Old Knucklehead Rider in his "70's". I had kids to raise and a money pit house so the Pan kept getting put on the back burner. Plus I always had a Scoot to ride so I wasn't deprived or nothing lol. Aint nothin like riding that Panhead though..... Starts 2nd or 3rd kick cold and 1st kick hot or warm. I will try to get a better shot of the primary side today as I'm going out for a putt. Oh yea, its funny how you mentioned the angle of the Apes Dave because my friend that painted it and I just had that conversation and fooled with it for awhile to get it just right. I bought my Shovel in "87" and ran Apehangers the whole 12 yrs. I owned it.

I agree with Dave, angle of the apes is great. I run mine on my sporty straight up, they just look cocky like that. Last year I had a sprung saddle on it and that seat sat me too far forward, so I actually had my bars between 15 and 20 degrees forward at that point.

Great history of your scoot. I like you paint job BTW, I paint myself a little and as many variations as can be found on the real fire effect, I still can't get it down to where I like my results.
