Thunderheader

Is anyone familiar with this exhaust? Will it fit my bike with forward controls? Any other suggestions on exhaust pipes? These drag pipes have got to go.

thunderheader is a good product from what ive read on the site here. The 2 into 1 gives you more hp and torque. I myself am going with the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 1. But the Thunderheader is a nice piece

My concern is whether they will fit with my forward controls. I called them and they said "it depends on the forward controls". That doesn't help. They also have a 20% restocking fee.

Can you provide me with a link to the Vance and Hines pipes? Thanks

Maybe I don't have any business giving my 2cents 'cause I don't care for really loud pipes, but, our forum mate and mod Kainam's sig says 110 hp 112 tq or something like that and he's got Thunderheaders and says at most rpms and throttle settings, it's surprisingly quiet, but when he pushes it's the best sounding bike/exhaust there is. He has audio clips posted here somewhere.

As far as seeing if they fit, keep asking around, you'll eventually find somebody who's got them on a bike like yours or tried to put them on and knows why they won't fit.

Not to step on any toes, but if I think of the Thunderheaders testimonial being something like the most power, yet reasonable noise, what I believe I've about V&H is just VERY LOUD.

I appreciate your comments guys. The guy at Thunderheaders said if I had HD forward controls, the pipes will fit. Well, I don't have HD. I'm not really sure what I have, but how different could they be?

Just so someone isn't unintentionally mislead. My Thunderheaders are modified in a manner similar to the "washer trick" that Dave has posted about in the exhaust forum. Drag-pipe blues

Only I used a piece of angled steel approx 1.5" square instead of a washer.

I did this to cure a midrange hesitation at around 3k RPM, and as a side effect, it also made the exhaust somewhat quieter at lower RPMs.

Soundclips are posted here:
