Need softail frame from wrecked bike!! and parts

I am looking for a 89-99 softail frame, (cheap) from a wreck that is missing the neck. (A buddy of mine has a frame table and is going to help me with my project) Not that I wouldn't rather have a good frame, but I just can't afford one right now....I sold my bike about 5 months ago to pay bills. My wife and I both work and it pretty much takes everything to survive right now.....she says the only way I can have another one right now is to build one on a very small (almost none) budget. I do all my own mech work. and with winter coming I thought I would give this a try. I am not looking for super nice stuff, but if you have somthing laying around, let me know what it is and what you would take for it. basicly anything for a 89-99 custom softail. Motor parts, trans, tanks, front end etc....anything to get me a scooter going will be considered, As beggers can't be choosers...LOL...thanks paul

PS guys with high dollar stuff, No need and waste mine nor your time, As I am a poorman...

Cool 06-07

Looking for a wrecked or damaged softail frame for the frame horns.
The 06 can be from a nightrain and the o7 a fatboy boy frame. I have installed a 200mm tire on my 05 fatboy and need to reset the frame horns out about 1" each side. I can cut the frame horns off the 06 or 07 and weld them right to my bike. Thanks for any help!!

Frame horns ??? Ya mean the struts ? Do ya need the whole frame or just the parts cut off ? Cheaper shipping that way .

Question Frame Horns

We'll I have been told they are called frame horns since it is part of the frame and the chrome piece that bolts on, is the strut. I need the part that is made to the frame and the chrome struts cover. I hope I have discribed this correctly as to what I am looking for.

Lightbulb Frame Horns

I know it's the steel peices made to the frame after you remove the fender and it's what gives the support to the fender. Do you have such animals if so could you send some pics. Because your right it would be alot cheaper to ship but I have to have them cut in the right place. Thanks for responding.

Got about 14 frames out back with the necks cut off , ins. crash totals . Tuesday I'll look to see if any are the older softtail style and get some pics . Gonna have to do some guessing though as the serial numbers are all cut off .

Thumbs up Frame Horns

Thanks. As long as it is off an 06 or 07 that had the 200mm tire. HD widened the struts so they would be on the outside the fender like it's should be instead of being inside the fender.

I may have one.... I have a softail coming that was bought to be parted out. Not sure of the condition of the frame yet, until I have it in hand. I'll pm you with more info when it gets here.
