are tires are not the same and i would go smaller if it dont you can use spacers but the problem with that is you will get everything out of align and it will be hard to make it right again if you can go with a smaller tire of diff brand

Cracker bike is a 02 springer softail, been customized. believe the swing arm is stock. don't know much more, just purchased from neighor lady. she had no info. bike has custom paint, se heads, custom wheels. I was told not enough to adjust spacers.

first choice
there is a primary spacer that you can add to shift the primary (including the secondary drive belt) that you can put in
second choice
space the wheel over using the wheel spacers , but consider the brake caliper side and the rotor ...yes you are moving the center line of the wheel off the center line of the rest of the bike... but the fat tire should compensate for the 3/4 inch shift

with the wheel spacers... also look at the fender, an tire against the other side of the swing arm?

No...all tires are not the same width, despite having the same size printed on them. Tire manufactures are required to stay within a 7% margin of accuracy, so from one brand to another, you can have as much as a 14% difference in width or height.

When I raced, Dunlops were always taller, where as Pirelli and Metzlers were always wider on 190-55x17 models, and we'd use that to our advantage at times.

Like cracker said: The wheel can be moved over to the right slightly, but changing the spacing and shaving the brake caliper mount is necessary, as long as you have the proper fender clearence to move it over.

To go to a wider rear tire V-Rodders space the rear sprocket out a bit, the belt compensates,

but check the manual see if somebody put the wrong spacer on the wrong side.

Is that even possible? I know my bike has a big one and a little one...

And I believe later belts are narrower too.
