Croc,
I just went and checked... Mine are 12".
So I am guessing they are too big, but let me know.

Here's a few more pic's of the frame, 99% paint and rust free!
Found two cracks in the frame....not bad for a 30 year old frame!
The person in the picture is the real owner of the 81 Ironhead, that is if I let him have her after the build...

Welding, grinding etc done and put on the first rough coat of molding to clean up her lines a little!

Have to re-fit the swing arm today and weld a tab for the brake caliper on, it was floating and was beating the frame to death.

Great update, Croc.

Just curious...
How deep are you going to have to dig into the motor (if at all)?

Glad you are ok...That sucks.... I have an acquaintance that fell into the line side/FPL side of an panel reinstalling a dead front... luckily he escaped with severe burns and was not killed. According to another friend who went to replace the bus bars and mains, you could see the outline of the guy standing next to him in soot on the wall.
