Fatbob - The Good, Bad, and Ugly?

I was at HD demo days last weekend took the 09 FatBob for a ride and man was I impressed with this bike. Up until my demo ride I was never a fan of HD bikes but after last weekend I'm saving my pennies for a 2010.

Are there any Fatbob owners here who would care to share waht they consider the good, bad, and ugly about their bikes?

thanks,
jd

The Good- looks awesome, runs awesome, lots of torque, great handling. The Bad- not paid off yet. The Ugly- the quarter fairing won't fit it. Seriously I've owned honda's, kawasaki's, yamaha's and an 06 softail and the Fat Bob is by far my favorite. It runs great, handles awesome and just looks cool. IMO it's a great choice.

The good, bad and the ugly.

The title sounds like movie. Anyhow the Fat bob is an awsome motorcycle. I purchased my 2009 Fat Bob about a little over a month ago. I could not be happier with my purchase of a motorcycle. This is my first Harley-Davidson and I am completely sold on the bike. I am hooked on putting my personal touches on the bike to make it mine. I can honestly say that there have been no bad or ugly for me its been all good. I now understand why the Harley brand is a lifestyle and not just a bike. Do your self a favor and buy it you will not regret it.

Gordon.

How did you decide on the colour?

Cool

It was the FatBob that got me onto my first Harley - having said that, if it only had forward controls I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Funny, when I test rode it at the LB MC show, the version they had available with the mids - no one was riding it.

I bought one two months later - in denim black - and murder it out some more.

Still love riding it.

The only bad for me -no where to carry anything. I know there are options, but most of them (fork bags, sissy bags...) I don't like - mainly cause i think it takes away from the look of the bike.

I've seen a few FB's with some nicer looking saddlebags mounted - I'll probably end up going that route.

Cheers,
-Jack

PS - I also really like the flat silver version...

Color choise wasn't an option for me. When I think of a Harley its gotta be black. I really didn't care for the pearl black because it looked charcoal gray in the sun light. The flat black looks like primer and doesn't do anything for me. The silver would have been my second choise but I really don't care for the denium look.

If you really want a Harley buy it and if you really really want it you will find a way to make the payments. The only way I could afford mine was to find a dealer that would take my bike in on trade. I found a few dealers in my area wouldn't take my trade. I figured ole well your loss. I actually ended up doing the deal out of state.
