Oil Change

I am having problems finding the oil drain plug on my screamin eagle 2007 dyna. I unscrewed a hex head from the front of the motor is that thre right one? Not much oil came out of there. I don't want to screw this bike up. Am I doing something wrong?

Your first post about this bike was in December 2008. Is this is your FIRST oil change on it by yourself?

Did it come with an owner's manual? That clearly tells you how/where to change oil/filter.

I was baffled by the drain pluf Myself. My repair manual didnt show it only to dump the oil ok typing swiftly. I went to the owners manual, it showed the drain hose. Wah lah. I bought some extra oil, all together it ran 60.00 Mobil 1 synthetic and I got some sea foam. I rewad so many here talking about it, figured would give it a try.

If you took out the plug on the bottom of the crankcase directly below the cam cover ... it was the wrong one ! When reinstalling that plug put some pipe tape on it and make sure it snugs up FLUSH with the case ... no deeper .
The drain for the oil pan is on the rear left side of the pan behind the jiffy stand bumper .
