Listen to "Dave 63" I have found his advice to be right on. I have small apes on my 97' FXD. I think they may be called "Buck Horns" by some Mfg's. I believe they were standard on the 97" wide glide.

I know, Luwise. He's never steered me wrong before. I know that 16's will be tough at idle, but I think that the look will totally outweigh the negatives. I just need to find those "kits" affordable enough. Maybe I'll get 'em this winter during tax time.

Im riding a 2000 WG with 16" Apes and the risers bring em up to about '17". Ona short jaunt from Queens to Suffolk there was an undeniable sleeping of the throttle hand that i had to shake off numerous times mid-ride. If u can overlook it then more power to you. They do look cherry though.....just in case, keep your old bars in the garage...NYC cops havent busted my balls yet...who knows?

Dixie, it has to do with the lack of counter balance that the Evo's have in them. My brother's Fat Boy doesn't rattle at all, but when you start up a dyna, your front tire start bouncing like a basketball. Ours are rubber mounted with no counter balance, my brother's is mounted to the frame (with bushings, etc) but don't rattle the bike, the rider, or the bars...

I hear yeah, vibration is good, but too much is hard driving in the city. Too many stops.

I know that but I guess ya ll think 12 apes vibrate to much, wrong, I have 10 in mini apes plus 4 in risers on mine and its not noticeable at all while rideing.
Sittin at a light is another story, I look like im dribblein a basketball but I like it.
