Cleaning a quick release windshield

I was wondering what is the preferred method of cleaning a quick release windshield. I know it has a film that can be damaged if the wrong cleaning product is used. I'm thinking Pledge is OK but I thought I better ask before using. So far I have just used plain water with microfiber towels which seems to work well. Thanks for your comments.

Same as cleaning a permenantly fixed, lexan windshield: Windex, Pledge, soft towels, and never papertowels. Papaertowels are abrasive and leave small scratched.

A bro of mine takes it in the house and puts it in the tub. Works for him. Soaks it and all.

I believe the windshield I have is made of lexan and specifically states to wash with hot soapy water and not any type of chemically treated cleaner. I have washed it several times with hot sopay water and it works great. Please do not take my words as gospel....I am about as green as you can get when it comes to anything MC related.

as do i, its the only way i've found to get the bugs off without damage.....just some warm water from the spout, a microfiber cloth, and in two minutes, dry off with another microfiber cloth.....good for 2 weeks..g

I've been cleaning the windshield on my RK that way for 10 years now, and it's good as new, so you're not as green as you think.
