Gasket Seepage?

Is this a common thing or something that I should be getting to the shop about? Its not leaking or dripping, but you can see the discoloration in a few random spots. This is on an 07 with 3700 miles, so its not like the motor has seen its time lol.

Ya its still under warranty. This bike has been back to the shop too many times for its year and mileage.... I love the bike but it seems like the beginning and end of every summer that I have had it, it needs to go back in.
Guess I will be giving the dealer a call later today.

I had the same thing happen to my Wide Glide. I thought FOR SURE it was my head gasket, and/or rocker cover gasket. After careful inspection (I don't have a warrantee anymore, so I do all my own wrenching) and it turned out that before I picked it up, they replaced the exhaust. The heat and fumes bypassing the pipe caused the discoloration on the jugs. I had to replace a post, and three nuts, but have gotten done riding for the day, waited until the pipes were cool enough, then took a 1/2 inch socket to them, and tightened them up.

Easy peasy...

I just keep my eye on it, and have never had the issue since.

GASKET SEEPAGE

Oh, I see you're talking about your bike here. Sorry, I was gonna recommend 'depends' adult diapers. Think I'll just shuffle off to bed and await the hangover.

Please forgive me as I am not "mechanically inclined" but between the "V" at the bottom where there is a gasket there is some discoloration there, and the gasket near my shifter. I know my description isnt the greatest. What really gets me as I stated in one of my earlier posts in this thread, this is the second time this has happened. The first time was shortly after I got the bike (400-500 miles on it) and there were a few spots. They said stuff needed tightened and I wouldnt have to worry about it. The bike only has 3700 miles on it, and it has been in the shop every summer I have had it (this is 3rd summer), and twice the first summer. It is just kind of disheartening at times.

07 twin cam engines use orings on the cylinder bases , at the bottom of the " V " , and very rarely leak . If they leak , the top end of the engine , rocker boxes , heads and cylinders have to be removed to replace the orings .
