Stock cables with 14" apes?
Have a 2009 Street Bob. Think I can use all the stock cables with 14" Nash Gimps? Internal wiring preferred and considering that is all electric I can extend it easily. I'm more concerned about the other cables that I don't want to deal with to be honest.

i'll tell you this. i recently purchased a set of Road 6 Customs Z-Bars and put them on two days ago. i ordered 12" bars because i had the same concerns.
i could have EASILY fit 14" bars on mine without any mods to cables / wires etc. but the gimps don't have necessarily the same lines as the Z-Bars.
but if i was a bettin man which i am .. i'd say you'll have just enough to do the job

I like bettin' people. I'm going 14" and skipping the cable fable. Fingers crossed.

My experience the last two days says new clutch cable throttle cables and I think I got three cables back. The swap at the harley store labor and parts was 1600.00. It was part of the shopping spree for buying a new harley. Bars, cables, and misc hydraulic stuff. They were braided diamond something.

I think you'll have to change cables. The stock bars are 10.5 inches. David Brack said that you can go 2" with his spacer and still use the stock cables. 12.5 inches. I think that's about the limit. If it does hook up with the stock cables, then I don't think you'll be able to turn.....
I hope I'm wrong, I'll keep my toes crossed for ya........

Chuck if harley charged you 1600. to swap four cables, extend the electrical and the new bars....... You weren't "lucky".........

I didn't have to pay it. But, there labor sheet showed and broke down the cost of the fluids, and misc stuff. Also, afterwards they told me the handle bars didn't have any narling. That kinda freaked me out. But then the parts guy says the bars are oval at the bottom so they don't need narling. Scares me a little, but I've pulled my self up in the saddle getting comfortable and they didn't slip so far. I"m going to ride right now. I'll report back later! Have a good one.

Oval at the bottom, wow, learn something new everyday........
