Lowering a 2010 Super Glide

Just want to put a question out there about lowering my 2010 FXDC, I have heard 11" shocks instead of stock 12", and using a lowering bracket kit for the rear shocks. Question--Would it be feasible to go down from a 17" rear wheel to a 16"??? would this affect the brake calipers??

Suggestion take off the stock shocks drop in 11" 440 progressives should be around $450-500 at OneStopMoto.com I wouldn't go any shorter on the shock you'll be pushing it at 11" maybe consider 11/2". JMO

Yes and no it shouldn't effect the caliper. Going from a 17" to a 16" is only changing the size of the rim and tire, not the rotor size. Just make sure the hub width is the same between the two. so that the rotor lines up correctly.

X2.....Progressive makes a nice/ durable shock , foregot what series, but there like $250. HD dealer claims to push alot of them, wanna say a 2-3 something series...I had the 812 series, near the top of the Progressive series & they cost me $250, but thats w/ my special discount

I wouldn't change wheel!!! if it's a height thing shocks. adjustable & maybe a sleak seat....
