What does it already have as far as modifications from stock? If the mechanical end of the bikle is stock, then yes, your on the right track. As far as carbs go, S&S is top notch and same goes for V&H. Pipes are a personal preference thing and some will swear by their V&H pipes, while others love their BUBs, Reinharts, or whatever. The other thing you need to consider is your cam. A better than stock cam will goes a long way to improving performance. You can get a relatively mild cam and still feel the difference in the seat of your pants. There are many, many good cams out there to pick from. The other thing to look out for is the tuning of the bike after the mods. Insure that the guy adjusting the carb knows his way around the block. A dyno tune is best and most expensive way to go with that part of it, but it's well worth it. All this is assuming it's stock. If it already has a cam, forget that part. The exhaust is pretty much what you like, so if it has some other than stock pipes on it, but you want the V&H, go for it. If it has a stock carb in any way shape or form, you will get improvement from the S&S and I don't see any train wreck in what your thinking about doing.

As a side note, intro yourself in the new to community section before some of the senior members get on your case about it. They get really anal about that for some reason and they won't offer advice till you do.
