Stage1 kit or heavy breather?

My next upgrade will be a airfilter stage 1 or the heavy breather by SE. Is there a difference in performance from one to the other? How well does the sock stop water on the heavy breather?

Had a stage 1 SE on my 03 Dyna and liked it. But i am on a fuel injected 09 FXDC now. Wondering if the heavy breather is any better.

I am aware i will need a ECU download with this, but just wondering the better option.

I went with the SE Ventilater intake on my FLHT for appearance sake. The cheaper Stage 1 intake flows as much air as the bike needs with greater protection from the elements tho....

Heavy breather is a looker, not a performer. Gains will be similar to stage 1 A/C.

The sock is a good thing on either one.
