Just got my new 15 FB (left over) and went with a D&D Fat Cat 2 in 1. Based upon reviews and now personal experience, they are hard to beat for quality and performance. They have a nice sound, but not a loud as the V&H long shots I had on my previous bike (Heritage).

I just picked up my 2014 fat bob with 1800 miles on it and was thinking the same thing. So quiet.

Just came off a 883 with cycle shack slip on's and that sounded great.

Moved into a different area (apartment complex) where I am going to have to have the bike quiet, but not stock quiet. Was thinking about the screaming eagles since I have read they are quieter, or maybe vance and hines with quiet baffle.

The screamin eagles are somewhere between the cycle shacks and the stock mufflers. I've run both the cycle shacks and the V&H with the quiet baffles, and the V&H are not quiet, even with those baffles. I preferred the cycle shacks, which have a deeper sound than the V&H, but both are pretty loud IMO.

Screamin eagles might be my best bet then. I cannot have anything near as loud of my cycle shacks at my current living situation. Any other recommendations for decently quiet slip ons?

With my sportster I did not add a new air cleaner, do you recommend adding one on my fatbob with the muffler upgrade?

I am in the same situation. Just bought a 2016 Fat Bob and love the ride. I have watched a ton of YouTube videos, but can't really tell much of a difference between brands/styles on there.

Is there one brand that is known for being louder with a deep rumble? What sounds better slipons, 2 to 1, etc....?

2-1 pipes make more power and have a different tone to them.. slip-ons IMO don't look the best and 2-2 pipes sound good but they also have little differences between them.....If you can't tell on YouTube then ride this summer and check out other guys bikes and when you hear one you like find out what he is running......
