Highway pegs

It thete anything out there besides the mounts offered through HD? $120 seems a bit much for what they are. I don't want forward controls, and I don't want highway bars. I like the mid mounted controls for most of my riding, but it would be nice to stretch the legs out on a longer ride.

Plenty of aftermarket places to go.

Those 2 should give u plenty of options to start. If u cant find them there try ebay as well. Best of luck

As much as $120 seems like a lot, cheaper, chromes steel mounts are known for slipping, damaging crash bars/chrome and rusting.

I have the Billet HD ones, and as much as I didn't want to pay over TWICE the price of others, they haven't moved ONCE in the time I've had them (1.5 years) and I've leaned on them pretty hard.

You get what you pay for with some items. This is one of them.

I'm with Dave. I had chrome. They started looking crappy. Bought billet. I should have spent the extra for billet in the first place.

Thanks fellas. I was looking a HD, and the only thing they have is chrome plated stamped steel. I'm talking about the pegs that mount to the lower part of the frame on the newer SG's. I think the holes are there in case you want to mount forward controls.

I don't mind paying for good quality, but from what I see offered through HD at this time to me it isn't worth the money. Not two stamped chrome plated stamped parts for $120. I'd actually rather have powder coated black to match the frame color.

My cousin has an older 883 with the billet highway pegs. I would pay the money for pegs like those.

I checked through several places online, and I can't believe there aren't really many options. Not without taking away the clean lines of the bike, and I don't want to add any more "bling". It has plenty enough of that already. If the nightrain was still available I would have bought that insteAad.

I have the HD mounts and they are good quality. I wasn't sure when I bought them but after installing I love em. Perfect position

Ratso..My SG is Big Blue Pearl as well. I was originally going to go with black, but when I say that blue I easily anteed up the extra $400. That paint is AWESOME. Only thing about it is that it only looks like that in the sun.

I'm going to look around for a few months since it's to cold to ride right now and see what I can find. If nothing else comes up I will get the mounts from HD.

I went with the Slipstream Pegs and the Footpeg Engine Guard Mount Kit, both HD. The pegs were 75 and the kit was 32. 8.53 to ship to me.
