Rear Pipe glowing just a little

Hello every one, I'm new to the post and I just needed some advise from the pro's out there.
I have a 2010 Wide Glide and gutted out the TommyGun head pipe with Rush slip-ons with 2 inch baffle and a K&N air cleaner kit...Also got the Screaming Eagle tuner and I got it Dynoed...the bike runs great and sounds great and its not as hot but at night when is pitch black lolol I notice the rear pipe glowing a little. Now before i go ask the strealers can anyone tell me if that is normal, I mean the bike runs great and does not give me any issues at all....

I doubt it is glowing.
I dunno, I say that because I can't imagine that it could under any circumstance glow anywhere but right at the head and at high rpms.

You sure it isn't in your head??
Not trying to doubt you, but unless we are talking 5500k rpm over 100mph up hill fully loaded I just don't think it would glow....
An idling bike couldn't glow, I don't think.
Don't take my word for it though, much more knowledgeable people will be on here soon to answer!

It has to be very dark, and maybe it's usually when it is cold out too, but when

first started up and at a fast idle both my LowRider and V-Rod rear pipes glow red

close to the head, if it takes me more than a minute to get backed out and on my way

I've never seen it any other time, I believe there is a richness circuit engaged, like

running with a choke, maybe with ignition retarded too. This is a fact, both bikes

have over 30,000 miles and run great. It's normal and common, and so is people

telling you its wrong, dangerous, or you're imagining it.

Hey Guys thank for your response, But ya it glows right at the head pipe but not much but i do notice it turns red on the head pipe...I was coming from a 20 ride and when i got home (its was dark) I look at the tip of the head pipe and it was glowing a little while the bike was idleing...I mean thought it was NOT a massave glow but i did notice it though.

Are you sure you are getting reflection form something?

No I am not getteing any reflection fo anything....

The headers could be thin walled steel perhaps... If the plugs look okay then I would not stress too much. The modern twinks do tend to run lean which will up the exhaust temp and contribute to the problem.

Tussuck thanks for the reply, I just got a screaming eagle tuner and had it dynoed by the stealers...I will take your advice and look at my plugs, I am sure its normal but i just want to see what you guys think about this cause i dont know any better in that area and everytime I go to the stealers its a min. og $90 just to look at the bike...

It probly is glowing.my 09 ultra classic glowed bright Orange in stock form.even at an idle. I have freedom performance true fails and strait fishtails now and they still glow a little. It freaked me out when I first saw it so I called all my buddies and they checked their bikes and they said the same thing. No worries brother,just ride
