Definitely sounds like a battery or lead problem, and that is the right place to TEST first. A load test is free at Autozone. Don't go buying parts and throw them at the bike hoping to solve the problem.

Battery problem. You have enough to spin it over and that takes the juice from the ignition. Sometimes you'll get a backfire out the exhaust.

Not throwing parts at it is why I am asking you guys, Thanks yall gave me the best place to start.

plus one on it being a battery problem.

One time the battery cables were loose on my bike and it started sluggish, as if the battery were going dead but it would always start. Then, in a lowes parking lot it was loose enough not to start anymore and that is when I found out the cables were loose!!

We deal with a lot of amperage trying to start generators at work the size of school buses and when a battery starts to weaken, it will do the same thing. The new gel cell batteries, optimas, actually require a special charger because the plates will begin to desulfurize, causing the batteries to eventually go bad.
