Rush muffler, mounting problems

Hi!

Yesterday i tried to mount my new Rush mufflers on my 2011 FXDC. The stock mufflers came off easy. When putting on the new Rush i can only get one bolt to fitt the mounting frame on the bike. So the mufflers are only mounted with one bolt each. The stock ones was mounted with two bolts.

Is this ok, or have i done something wrong? Will it be ok with only one bolt holding the muffler?

What's the model number on the mufflers and type? Slash down, baloney cut? You may have the wrong mufflers for a 2011 fxdc.

I put the rush Slash down slip ons on my 2012 FXDC. All mounted up properly with no hardware left over.

Which set of slip on did you get?

I have same mufflers for my 2012 fxdc. Rush lists the model number as 14201-200. The 200 designates 2 inch baffles.

Yes! The part number on my mufflers are 14201-175. So it should be the correct one for the bike. Will try to adjust it tomorrow and see if it gets better.

It didnt follow any mounting instruction in the package. Should there have been some?

Spin your muffler support bar around......the other way. Both mufflers should have two bolts each in them.

Sometimes, a muffler may slide on a little farther than another, and throw the alignment of that bar off as well.

The bolt you can see on the photo is the rear bolt. So i now have two bolts, but the one you see is just inside the mount on the muffler!
