Thumbs up Lowering Fat Bob

Hi all -

Obviously a "newbie" here, but glad to find you!

I have an '08 Fat Bob and want to lower it. Thinking about raking out the front just a few degrees and lowering the rear....suggestions, thoughts, tips, directions and/or considerations of any type welcome!

Thanks in advance....

Chris

for lowering there are blocks that relocate the shock back which is the cheaper way or you can do new shocks all together which is more expensive, but some say it is more comfy

2004 Sportster
2012 HD Road Glide Ultra
2006 GTO with idle problem
2011 Subaru OB (DD)

Burley makes a lowering kit that I've used for about $80, that uses your stock shocks, and lowers the bike 1.5".

Progressive makes the 412 shocks for about $180 or so, that are 1" shorter.

Think White Bros, makes a kit for under $100? Can get a sleeker seat to, if you don't wanna mess w/ shocks, remember changes ride.

Thanks all - I'll look into it all. Anyone have experience with raking out the front? I'm thinking about 6 degrees..........

I've gone the seat route before - looked great, but my lower back suffered greatly!

can't be done unless you cut/weld neck @ this point which i would not EVER even consider!! I already checked EVERYWHERE for tree's w/ rake. Accutronics made a nice rake for my fatboy...if you find anything I missed-let me know!!!!
