Which Dyna ?

I am 5'8 185. 30" inseam.
I like the Street Bob, Fat Bob and the Low Rider.
I have 5k in the bank. I plan on having 10k put away by mid November. (Credit sucks, so I need a lot down for Harley to finance me)

I previously rode a Honda Magna 750 and Suzuki Katana 1100.
Mid Controls (ie Street Bob), or Forward Controls (Fat Bob, Low Rider)?

The Magna had mids on it. I have never ridden forward controls yet.

Also considering the Cross Bones, but this is a Dyna section, so I will leave it like this for now.

You won't have a problem with any of the 3 bikes, if you're worried about height, and for less than $300, you can drop the back up to 3 inches with Progressive 412 shocks.

As for the Cross Bones, you *might* have a ride height issue with that because of the elevated seat, that's spring mounted, but I kinda doubt it. I have a 32" inseam, and you're a 30".... I fit on it fine with room to spare.

You won't get a Cross-Bones for $10K, but you can but almost any Dyna, 1-2 years old for about $10K. The rest is up to what it is that YOU want....

I have a fat bob with mids, my inseam is 28 and I feel fine, I do have a reach problem on the bars though. If your arms are short you will need some pullbacks. If you have 10k down, you could get financed or like Dave says find a good deal on a used one.

I think the Lowrider is the Best Dyna Going, Lowest Seat Height, Has
Speedo/Tach, Does not need much to make it great!

Thanks Dave, everyone
Thats just the information I needed.
Really leaning toward one of the 'Bobs. I like the look of the Fat Bob, but wasn't sure about the forward controls. Don't have my license yet, so hard to get the dealers to let me test ride one. Going to borrow my buddies old Shadow and take the test pretty soon. Before the summers up anyway.
I posted here a couple weeks ago about an 85 Wide I was going to buy, but that deal sorta fell through.

Thanks
Patrick

I love the Street Bob in black, with the shorty rear fender and the black powder coated spoked rims.......{{drool}}

You can always get the FAT BOB with mids and put highway pegs to strech out if you like. I love my Fat Bob, big steam roller tire in the front!!!!
