Battery time again. 13 months!

Tired of buying the HD batteries. This is the third one that has gone south. (04 RoadGlide) I keep it on a tender and make sure that it is charged fully prior to starting the bike.
I have been waiting almost a month for our local "dealer" to get one in.
Today I got pissed and told them to shove it. If they can't get one in after a month, I'm not gonna give em the satisfaction of seeing any money from me.
After telling me the battery still wasn't in, the idiot had the balls to suggest I buy a new bike from them.
Who makes a replacement?

Interstate, or Yousa. There aren't that many battery manufacturers in the country.

Thats awful service...our dealer keeps lots in stock...

I don't bother with a battery tender, they told me the new gel type batteries don't need it and it only messes them up...

I get years out of a battery...at least 6 or 7

Interesting, assuming I have the gell type in a 2008 sporty. My dealer told me the opposite then sold me the tender.

I have no idea how old the battery was in my sled when I picked her up almost 5 yrs ago.(HD branded battery). During riding season I leave it alone, and the tender for the winter(ya, snow sucks). The battery is still in great shape(knock on wood). Just thinking out loud here, but maybe ya got a draw on the battery, loose wire or sumpin sucking the life from your battery.

Have you had your charging system tested ? Using a battery tender constantly can mask a charging sytem problem .

I put an Odessey battery in my scoot..565 amp CCA...dang near flip the scoot over when it cranks.....has 200 more amps than a HD battery and fits the same...you might have a charging system problemo too....HD had problems with the stator in my 05, have upgraded them twice since then..I had to replace mine last near, stopped dead in it tracks, left me on freeway waitin' for a tow truck...

Pretty sure the charging system is OK.
I have a GPS that I can configure to give me the battery voltage when connected.
What part number is the Odessy?
