Left Turn Signal auto activates

2009 FLHTCU, Left turn signal comes on when it wants to. Sometimes I can cancel and sometimes I can't. This only happens if I use the left one during an ignition cycle, useing the right one only will not effect it or create the problem. When I stop and shut off ignition and the start on another ride it will not happen unless I use the switch again. Irritates pack behind me, they all start jumping lanes why I am thinking WTF. I am back to useing hand signals for left turns only.

Safety issue so here's a quick answer . Still under warranty so take it in . Got custom grips ? Have them look inside the left switch housing for pinched wires .

Sounds like a wiring issue or maybe a problem with you TSM. Do you have a security system?

The TSM is activated by a 12vdc pulse provided by your turn signal switch. You are getting that 12vdc pulse without pressing your left turn signal switch. Could be a (1) faulty left turn signal switch, (2) faulty wiring issue as previously mentioned, or (3) the TSM. The service manual describes a procedure to determine which is faulty.
