Anyone know what this wiring does? For a 2010 Iron 883?

I just picked this up yesterday from the dealer, then today while giving it a good look over I saw the wiring touching the top of the fin of the motor...

Also sorry for the crappy cell phone pics.

If you just picked that up yesterday, I would turn around and take it right back to have that replaced. If you don't, you'll find out what it is eventually.. when something stops working, probably at the most inconvenient time.

Also, stop by the new user section and say hello with an introduction. People will be a lot more inclined to help out then..

Naturally will be taking back to the dealer, though was hoping that if someone knew and was unsafe to ride I would know not to ride it there. But will take the chance to ride to the dealer.

And will do after it is replaced (post in the new section).

Thanks.

If it cranks and runs smooth.. then its probably ok to run it back to the dealer, I would think. Let us know what you find out.

Can't believe we didn't see it before/after riding.
Good thing you noticed it.

Probably one of those security wires. Ridiculous that your dealer let that slip. It's right there, man.
