Electrical Gremlin

I have a 2000 Springer that I am having some issues with. When I ride for a while and it gets warmed up all of a sudden "poof" all the electronics go away and most of the time the bike dies. After I stop, turn it off and back on again it starts right up. Occasionally I can pop in the clutch and rev it up and I can keep it running even though it lugs a lot. Battery connections and ground wires have all been checked and all are fine.

Raise the dash / speedo panel up and look at the 3 wire plug on the ignition switch , make sure that it's plugged onto the switch tight . These connectors have been known to vibrate loose causing an intermittant electrical problem like you described .
