Brake pedal activates right blinker

After a long ride unfortunately in the rain yesterday my right blinker activates with both the front and rear brake. The blinker still works properly but acts as a brake light whenever brake is applied. Any ideas where to start to find the problem?

Do you have a rear turnsignal integrator kit? If so, it sounds as if water may have gotten in and is shorting it....

If not, then look for water in the right control pod, or a shorted/pinched wire in that location, where the front brake wire and the right t/s wire both pass through.

I have no integrator kit. When you say right pod do you mean the handlebar switch location? I thought it may be a short at that location but the rear brake pedal activates it also.

Yes....right handlebar control switchs. The rear brake pedal effects it, as it feeds back into the front switch power wire as well, as both front and rear brake wires lead to the same brake bulb.

Thanks Dave63 for your help. I checked for water but found none. So far no evidence of a short at that location either. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Whats the front TS doing??? I dont know where you wire goes on that 02 Softie but mine go all under the fender into the Stoplight housing you might take that off to have a look see its prone to moisture collection.

Front turn signal is also activating with both front brake lever and rear pedal. So far I have found no water so I am looking for a worn or broken wire. Thanks to everyone for your help.
