1990 FLHTC Turn Signal and Voltage Issues

I was out for a short putt today and al of a sudden my left turn signal came on, not blinking just staying on.

We pulled over and I shutthe bike off. I looked at both the front and back lights and followed the wires to the best of capabilities on the side of the road. Needless to say I could not find any bare wires shorting out.

I then started the bike back up and the turn signal went back to normal but the volt meter jumped all the way up to 14 volts. By the time we got back home both signals were flashing as though they were emergency flashers and the switches were not doing anything. It normally runs at 13 and a half volts and has no electrical problems.

Does anyone have any clues what to check or look for??

Thanks For Any Input
