Question about fuse box area

Okay, did a search and can't find the answer. 2010 Ultra....

1. Below the fuse box there are 2 wiring harness that serve no obvious purpose. It appears the two can be connected to each other (male/female ends). Just wondering what it is. I looked in the owners manual and can't seem to find the answer there either.

2. Is there a way to make the accessory plug on the fairing hot all the time? I want to be able to charge phone/Ipod while the bike is off.

Thanks in advance and lokok forward to talking to all.

1.) You can have accessories that plug into those harnesses, that didn't come on your bike. Without knowing what they're for exactly, don't use them. MIstaking a diagnostic port plug for a power plug could result in a toasty ECU.

2.) Yes. You run a hot wire from your battery, with a relay or to a 3-5 amp in-line fuse and to a marine grade (waterproof) accessory plug. You can also buy power plugs from Harley, however, not sure if they're waterproof.

So easy a cavemen can do it...

I did the same thing, only it plugs into the other end of my Battery Tender plug and works off that. It's for my cell phone charger.
