Unhappy Turn Signal/Ignition Issue

Posted earlier about wiring new lighted mirrors on my 08 Ultra and shorting the turn signals. I just returned from a dealer and he said look for the TCM (Turn Signal Control Module) fuse. Well there is no such fuse. Now I note that there is also no power to the ignition and speed/tach lights.
So I figure I fried some control module probably the ignition module since the alarm system used the turn signals and that is not working.
I can not believe a 1-2 second short circurt would fry the system without a fuse blowing 1st.
How do you check the modules in the fuse box to see if they are good???

A fuse pops due to exceeding the amp rating. It's not there to protect anything other then the harness burning, and subsequently the bike burning too. Relays and surge protectors are what are used to protect circuitry. In most cases, these modules are foolproof and as long as they're left in the stock, protected configuration, they're fine for many years. Outside entities or violations of their wiring are usually what cause them to fail, prematurely.

Millivolts in the wrong place can nuke anything with a board, capacitors or resistors.

I can't tell you how to check them, short of placing them on another identical bike, and seeing if they're bad. You'd need a diagnostic plug and know what terminals to check for ohms and continuity.

a mutimeeter and some knowledge and you can test them. you just need to know what ur testin for. first i would test all the fuses. just lookin at them does not always mean they are alrigt. a hairline crack can break the circuit. use 1 2volt meeter and test eac side of fuse. start there.

What codes came up ? If it's a tsm / tssm issue there should be codes . Does the engine start and run ( ignition relay ) ? Do the rest of the lights work ( light relay ) ?
Again ... codes ?

Thanks for all the input. Found the problem. Battery fuse was blown. Replaced and went riding.
