1990 Chop-ster charging problem

Well I would like to say thanks for the help I did get from the two that answered my thread, but I have fixed the problem! I simply replaced the entire charging system and it seems to be work fine... for now!!!

I did find that the insulation on the stator wires was in bad shape and may have been passing current at speed to ground, I'm not sure but induction is a strange creature. After 30 plus years working in the commerical electrical feild I've seen some wierd stuff!

Once again, THANK YOU ALL!!!!
