I have read that some dealers install the pigtail for battery tenders, and I have also read in these forums that the battery tender that hd sells is the same as the battery tender brand only under the HD name.
So my question is what does the pigtail that the dealers installed on your bike look like so I can tell if I have one?
with my 2006 softail deluxe what model battery tender would be right for my battery. (Its the original battery by the way... Ive been told that I have a great battery life going)

Battery Tender - been using it for about four years - first on the Ultra and now on the new Street Glide.

Walmart, $19.99. Can't remember the brand. Works like a champ. Comes with quick detach that I leave connected to the battery.

that was about half the cost of the one I bought from the dealer. My bike came with a pig tail which fits it.

It works fine. I think it came with a pig tail in case I didn't already have one.

The Walmart charger is a Schumacher. Really good maintainer, smart not just a trickle charger. Not unlike the Tender.
