1971 Regulator wiring?

I bought an electronic regulator for my '71 Sportster and am not sure on how to wire it. I have a wiring diagram for the 'ol style but not the new one..Any help, please?

Not sure if this post goes here or on Sportster forums, but I am trying to put an electronic regulator, the new style. Not the one that goes on the end of the generator, but the small finned one. I have no idea on how to wire it to the generator and ignition. Any suggestions?

Question

What make/model?

Did ya buy it new or used?

Did it not come with instructions?

If not , they might be on the manufacturers website.

What brand is it? Have you tried to Google a solution? I found one for an ACCEL solid state voltage regulator.

Not sure about posting links to other sites but the site I found is not another forum.

If you mean the new kind that goes on a late model Sportster, the square one, it won't work. Your bike has a DC generator, the newer Sportsters have an AC alternator. The new regulators are actually rectifier regulators. The generator doesn't use a rectifier.
