Improving the headlight

I run a brite lite xeon bulb i picked up at the local hd dealer. Alot better than stock but i had an unfortunate experience of hitting a deer about a month ago and totalling my ride. I was thinking of trying this hid set up in my new bike. Anyone have any experience with these?

I've been running a PIAA Extreme white H/L bulb for a year with no problems .
Its rated 55/65 but actually puts out 85/100 without overloading the factory wiring .

So I put a call into Sylvania customer service. The dude on the other end of the line knew as much as I do (not much)...

I managed to get a part # 9003/HB2 which is for the ZXE Ultra bulb (blueish tint) for the head light. -2008 FLHTC E-Glide Classic by the way.

No way in the world to get the part # for the passing lamp bulbs for the same ZXE bulbs... The guy had no clue.

Don't really care if they've got a "blue'ish tint" I'll settle with really bright white. I do not want to go HID !.. Just whiter bulbs (or blue'ish)..

So if the manufacturer doesn't know who does,?... Dave ?...

Might just be me but I HATE them damn blueish bulbs...never tryed one ..just dont like looking at them.....rode my bike the other am. on the way to a PGR mission ...left and it was still dark out...I forgot how badass my 80-100 bulb was...I dont like riding at night ,but when I do thats one kickass bulb..and only $20.00 bucks...

I run a HID system on all my bikes and on two cars. Love them! But, I wouldn't get the one you posted, it's 10000k color temperature is too high for good lighting. The best light is in the 4000-6000k temperature range. 4300k is a little "whiter" than stock, but really bright.
10000k is really blue/white, and not as bright as the lower color temperatures. People's eyes are more sensitive to the lower temperature.

i think i am going to try the trucklite version of the led,i like the pattern and the color of lite it puts out,i also saw the test that was posted here awhile ago,liked what i saw

I have the HD Daylighter LED and really like it, BUT, it must be aimed properly. I had it what I thought was right and it had a very definite horizon. I was living with it until American Iron had an article on installing and aiming one. I aimed it according to their direction and it's a whole new ball game. Horizon is gone, just bright, bright light.

I'm not sure I would have paid full price for it, but I got a deal from a member here for about 1/2 price. That works for me.

Are the stock passing lamps 35 or 55 watt?
