ignition issue I think
I have a 2005 FI road king custum, the timing will not advance in cool weather and rain, when its hot out it runs fine, any ideas?

This is interesting ... I'm wondering how you know the timing isn't advancing .

ditto.
Timing is advanced through the ECU, with inputs from the VOES sensor, However, the VOES is resonsible for retarding timing, not advancing it.
Check your ECU connections for corrosion or a loose connecting pin.

Now that my friend is a real technical advice! You call the shop and they would tell you, uh...bring it in. Wheel'check it for ya! Chaching!
If it was not for Dave's VEI and BOE knowledge his EKL would not be WAHS. So make sure you go to the "Thank Dave" thread and comment on the TRE so that everyone can see the AQWE remarks!

This is interesting ... I'm wondering how you know the timing isn't advancing .
It idles fine and in nuetral it revs up good but under load it missses, back fires and has no power, if it were a car i'd look into the the inignition system. Seems like a timing thing but i'm asking if anyone has has any ideas

If it was not for Dave's VEI and BOE knowledge his EKL would not be WAHS. So make sure you go to the "Thank Dave" thread and comment on the TRE so that everyone can see the AQWE remarks!
Thanks for the advise my local shop had the bike and dug into the fuel system and found no problems, now in Nashville and taking it to Bumpus HD today,

Boss, my manual is in Ohio but I did look in the trouble shooting section before I took it to my local dealer, with no luck
