Check bulb sockets for power. Those bulbs and sockets get a ton of vibration. Also, ground your neutral switch wire. Does the light come on then?

Now try the same test with the oil sending unit wire. Does the light come on?

Both those sensors have constant power, and rely on a ground triggering the ground part of the bulb.

If you ground the sensor wires and no light, then start looking for an interupted power source.

Did you check the fuses? Both my oil and neutral were out on my 99 Sportster and it was a fuse. Guess that is what happens when you mess around with the handlebars & wiring when the battery is connected.

So as Dave says, an interrupted power source.
